Jeddah Governorate announced the start of implementing the automatic paid parking system in the governorate in the historical Jeddah area, which was implemented by the Jeddah Municipality, starting today, Wednesday 8/20/2014.
Today, Wednesday, the Governor of Jeddah, Prince Mishaal bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, inaugurated the launch of the project, which aims to prevent traffic jams, wrong parking behaviors, and abandoned vehicles.
The project allows the driver to purchase a ticket from one of the devices located on the sides of the streets in several locations in the historic Jeddah region, and allows the driver to use the automated parking spaces from Saturday to Thursday from eight in the morning until eleven in the evening.
With regard to the cost of parking and payment methods, they are as follows: 3 Saudi riyals per hour, and payment can be made in several ways: electronic account (opening an electronic account and adding balance to be deducted from it), coin – smart phone applications (soon).
