The Director of the Traffic Department in the Eastern Region revealed that the Traffic Department will grant car showrooms new powers represented in issuing license plates for cars upon allegiance, without the need to refer to traffic departments to issue plates.
Colonel Abdul Rahman Al-Shanbari explained, according to “Okaz”, that this procedure will be applied during the next few months, stressing that exhibition owners and employees are currently being trained on the mechanism used in that, pointing out that the Traffic Department in the Eastern Region has chosen a number of exhibitions to implement this decision. As a first stage, then it will be circulated during the next period to all exhibitions.
Al-Shanbari added that his administration is currently working on issuing a new regulation that prevents trucks from entering the city center, to deal with traffic jams or congestion.
