Assistant Director General of Customs for Technical Affairs and Information Hamad Al-Qasoumi revealed that Customs launched an automatic link project between departing cars through the Kingdom’s customs ports and the General Traffic Department. Pointing out that the plan provides a number of electronic services.
Al-Qasoumi explained, according to “SPA”, that the project provided the service of linking the customs card to the program for issuing traffic licenses, and said that it helps in obtaining the data of the imported vehicle automatically and issuing the form from the data entered in the customs system.
Al-Qasoumi referred to the service of knowing the vehicle and its owner data automatically by linking the movement program of vehicles arriving and departing to and from Saudi Arabia with the traffic licenses program.
He adds that the project provides a service for obtaining data of authorizations for entry and exit of vehicles automatically by linking the vehicle movement program at customs with the authorization program for the traffic system.
The project also provides the patent certificate service for the vehicles to be exported, by linking the issued customs declaration program to the traffic system, which shows that the vehicle in question has completed the export procedures.
