Volkswagen introduced the first German pick-up in the Saudi market through its exclusive agent (Samaco).

According to Philip Burlock, Volkswagen brand manager at SAMACO, the new Volkswagen Amarok is classified in the middle class and comes out of the framework of the vehicle intended for transportation to meet the daily needs of modern life with unprecedented equipment in its class.

Burlock pointed to a number of technologies used for the first time in the mid-size class of the pickup, including the ABS anti-lock braking system adapted to off-road use, a system to assist in descending slopes with stability and confidence, and the ESP system to enhance stability (standard), which is equipped with a new technology that works on Enabling the car to climb hills better, which can be activated by pressing a button, and it works with the car’s speed up to 100 km / h.

The car is 5,250 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and has a trunk area of ​​2.52 square meters.

The car has one of three engines, the first is a gasoline engine that produces 118 horsepower and works either with a 4×2 rear-wheel drive system and automatic transmission or four-wheel drive with an automatic transmission, while the other two engines are two 4-cylinder TDI diesel engines with a capacity of two liters. The most advanced and economical in fuel and works with direct injection of fuel.
