The Honda agency in Saudi Arabia is recalling 1,240 Pilot cars due to a possible defect in the safety belts
Abdullah Hashim Co., Ltd., “Honda car dealerships in Saudi Arabia,” today recalled 1,238 “Pilot” cars, due to the possibility of a defective safety belt.
The company said in an announcement published in the newspapers today that due to the possibility of a shortage in the number of stitches when sewing the front safety belts in the manufacturing phase, for a limited number of “Honda Pilot” cars, and as a precautionary measure from the manufacturer and to ensure the highest levels of safety for the company’s customers, the company decided to re-examine all Vehicles covered by the recall campaign, and safety belts should be replaced if necessary.
The agency indicated that the recalled cars are between 2009 and 2011 models, which are included in the chassis numbers shown in the following table:
In its announcement, the company indicated that this recall comes based on what was stipulated in the Vehicle Recall Regulations issued by the Minister of Trade and Industry’s Decision No. 2397 dated 11/7/1422, indicating that changing safety belts will be free of charge, calling on car owners to review the agency for the necessary action.
