Abdul Latif Jameel recalls Avalon, Camry and Lexus 2005 models due to technical defect
Abdul Latif Jameel Co., Ltd. has announced that it invites owners of Avalon, Camry (6-cylinder), Lexus E300, and Lexus RX330, manufactured from June 2004 to March 2005, to visit Toyota or Lexus service centers.
The company said that the purpose of this is to check the crankshaft pulley and replace it if necessary.
The company added, in an advertisement published in the local newspapers, that Toyota, the manufacturer of these cars, indicated that it is possible that there may be looseness in the pulley that may cause the steering wheel box to loosen, which in the worst case scenario leads to a weight in the steering wheel.
This recall comes in accordance with what was stipulated in the Vehicle Recall Regulations issued by the decision of His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Industry.
