A seventy-year-old citizen in Haql Governorate, Tabuk, used his free time to collect and repair old cars for 20 years. As the number of cars he collected reached 11, including a 91-year-old car.
Citizen Nasser Al-Omrani explained, according to “previously”, that repairing old cars has become his favorite hobby. Where he searches for and buys them with the help of his children, then works to repair them and makes a great effort to obtain spare parts for them, even if he has to travel for that.
Al-Omrani pointed out that the repair of cars for him is limited only to making their engines rotate without working on restoring them from the outside, as he prefers to show antiquity on the old cars that he collects, stressing that he does not collect cars for a commercial purpose, but rather because it is just a hobby.
And he indicated that among the cars he owns is a car that dates back to 1927, and it is of the “Ford” type, and it is the oldest car that enters the north of the Kingdom, indicating that obtaining old spare parts for cars is not an easy matter, and sometimes he is forced to travel from a field to Riyadh and Qassim. in order to search for it.
Al-Omrani told a funny story about the “Dodge 48” car that he now owns, as he works in grazing, and in 1948 he wished to buy a car, but he did not have enough money, and when he saw that car he wished to own the same, and after 50 years he told his children the story, So they looked for it and found it with difficulty, and he fixed it himself.
