The “Phillips” auction house in Geneva witnessed the sale of a rare “Rolex Milgauss” watch, in its original condition, at an auction for $ 2.5 million, which dates back to 1958 AD.
With this number, Milgauss broke records for the highest amount paid in an auction for a Swiss watch made of stainless steel, as it was specially designed to resist magnetic field.
The British auction house “Christie’s” sold a similar copy 10 years ago, issued in the same year, for 317,000 francs, and another was sold at the Phillips House in 2022 for more than 300,000 francs.
