Yesterday evening (Thursday), a man suffering from a psychological disorder stormed the entrance to the Vatican with his car, but he was arrested.
And this happened when the driver arrived at one of the entrances to the Vatican, but the Swiss guards prevented him from entering because he did not obtain permission, but he returned very quickly in his car and stormed two checkpoints.
A police inspector in the Vatican fired a bullet at the tires of the car without being able to stop it. An alarm was sounded, and other entrances to the Vatican were closed. After that, the car stopped inside the Vatican City campus, and the man got out of it, and the gendarmerie forces took control of him.
The driver was subjected to a medical examination immediately, and it turned out that he suffers from a serious psychological disorder, and he was imprisoned in a cell in the Vatican, and placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
