Georgian airlines ban their services to the country’s president

The founder of Georgian Airlines banned the President of Georgia from using the company’s services.

And according to the Russian “Nass” agency, the ban comes after the President of Georgia said that she would boycott airlines, due to the resumption of flights to Russia.

And the agency continued, that the founder of Georgian Airlines, Tamaz Gayashvili, said that the country’s president, Salome Zurabishvili, is currently persona non grata and will be banned until she apologizes to the Georgian people.

Russia announced this month that it would lift a four-year-old ban on direct flights with Georgia and scrap a decades-old requirement for Georgian citizens traveling to Russia to obtain a visa.

President Salome Zurabishvili called on the Georgian authorities to confront the Russian initiative, an invitation that was not heeded.
