The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has set Friday 12/2/1435 AH as the date to start implementing the third phase of the mandatory campaign to recall more than 320,000 Toyota cars, in order to address a technical defect in the smart brake system and address the problem of cruise control.
The recall, announced by the ministry, includes Avalon (2005-2010), Camry (2007-2010), Sequoia (2008-2010), Lexus LX (2008-2010), and Land Cruiser LC200 (2008-2011).
It is noteworthy that the ministry had obligated Abdul Latif Jameel, the authorized agent of Toyota in the Kingdom, to add the smart brake system to customers, free of charge, for more than 400 thousand Toyota cars of the type Lexus RX and Lexus ES, and recalled Lexus cars models “2007-2010”.
