He called for searching for a “fuel economy card” when wanting to buy a new vehicle, as it is the ideal guide for the vehicle’s fuel efficiency, and it is an ideal way to compare several types of vehicles from different companies of the same category and choose the best one to save fuel.
And he indicated that the purchase of a new vehicle also depends on several things, including the technologies in the engine such as “turbocharging, high-speed charging, … etc.”, and the technologies in the transmission, in addition to air flow and other technologies that affect the performance of the vehicle. Small engines can give a level of performance similar to that of larger engines under the use of previous technologies.
Kafaa emphasized the importance of regular vehicle maintenance, as it contributes to extending the vehicle’s life and maintaining fuel consumption rates within the normal limits for which the vehicle was designed.
And she called on vehicle owners to avoid using the “load net” on top of the vehicle as much as possible, because that leads to weight gain and air resistance, especially at high speeds, which increases fuel consumption.
