An Egyptian couple residing in Kuwait left their six children alone in their apartment without food for two days, until the police discovered the matter, due to family disputes between them.

Kuwaiti Interior Minister Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled directed not to renew the residency of the spouses and their six children and to grant them a temporary residency that expires at the end of the school year, according to the Kuwaiti newspaper, Al-Anbaa.

The minister’s decision came after submitting a report from the community police, which included the existence of family disputes between the spouses, and as a result of these disputes, the father stayed with one of his friends, and the mother left the apartment in which she resides with her children without leaving them any food, which necessitated that two children take turns going to school. To take care of their infant sister, who is less than 3 months old.

The newspaper quoted a security source as saying that the daughter of the expatriates called the operations of the Ministry of the Interior, so the husband was summoned, and he reported that he had been laid off and had become without work, and as a result, disputes occurred with the wife, which forced him to leave the marital home 4 months ago and live with his friend. As for the wife, she said that she was no longer able to take care of the children and that she had nothing to spend on them, and she went to stay with her friend.

And he continued that a case was registered against the spouses titled negligence in the care of a minor, and the spouses and six children were placed on the clause of not renewing residencies and granting the entire family a temporary residency while preventing renewal for them and deporting them to their homeland.
