A supercar that travels more than 1,600 km…and never runs out of fuel!

An American automaker unveiled a new hydrogen-powered “supercar” that can travel more than 1,600 kilometers without the need to refuel.

Only 300 cars are scheduled to be produced in 2022, joining many other hydrogen-powered cars on the market, including the Honda Clarity, Toyota Mirai and Hyundai Nexo.

The XP-1, a high-tech roadster, is the product of nearly a decade of development and is equipped with all-wheel drive and a three-speed transmission.

Aerodynamic elements behind the swinging doors help cornering at high speed and double, and solar panels on the body of the car change their position to match the path of the sun.

Impressive cabin

Inside the cabin, there is a 98-inch curved screen, while the controls do not need touch, but operate with just a gesture.

Also in context, the wrap-around glass canopy provides a 360-degree view of the outside world, and the lightweight exterior is made of carbon and titanium.

It also takes only a few minutes to refuel, and this is much faster compared to the long hours it takes to charge the batteries of electric-powered cars, in addition to its superiority over its electric counterparts in its compatibility with cold weather.

The XP-1 stores energy in carbon fiber tanks rather than a bulky lithium-ion battery. Unlike fossil fuels, hydrogen is readily available, renewable, and does not produce carbon monoxide and other harmful emissions.
