A phosphorescent green liquid stain that appeared today (Sunday) in the Venice aqueduct raised concerns, prompting the police to open an investigation to determine its source.
And the governor of the Veneto region, Luca Zaia, published a picture of the green liquid, which spread through the water near the arched Rialto Bridge, and residents also reported the presence of this strange liquid.
Pictures show a bright green swath of the canal along an embankment lined with restaurants, while environmental authorities carried out tests on the canal’s water.
