Has your car’s electronic screen ever suffered a sudden breakdown? In other words, the Freezing doesn’t move, goes empty in the middle of a road trip, or can’t plug in your phone or play music. If you have, you know how frustrating a driver can be, and we’d love to tell you that you’re not alone. Information and entertainment problems are some of the most common complaints that come from various types of cars, according to the “Consumer Reports” website, in its English version, and in this report we present some steps that may help solve the problem.
steps to solve
Sometimes, fixing the problem can be as simple as unplugging your phone from the USB port and plugging it in again, or turning the car on and off again, but sometimes, the fix requires a reset or restart of your car’s infotainment system. Like pressing Ctrl-Alt-Delete or selecting “Force Quit”, a restart or reset can turn off your car’s infotainment system or even return it to its factory default settings.
And you can do it yourself – and we’ll show you how.
If the problem is with your phone’s connection, start by turning the phone on and off, and check to see if your phone – or your car – needs a software update. In these cases, you have to wait until a car software update is available to fix it. Cellular or WiFi connection, while others will require a trip to the car dealership.
