The death of the artist Osama Al-Romani, one of the makers of “Iftah Ya Simsim”
The Syrian artist, Osama Al-Romani, died today (Monday), after a myocardial infarction, at the age of 81.
The Artists Syndicate and the Syrian Ministry of Information mourned the deceased “Al-Romani”, who was born in Damascus in 1942, and his name was associated with the famous children’s program “Iftah Ya Simsim” and became part of the childhood memory of successive Arab generations.
It is noteworthy that Al-Romani was absent from the TV screen and stage for about twenty years, before returning to Damascus in 2021 and participating in several drama series, most notably the series “Kasr Bone.”
