The head of the Insurance Committee in the Asharqia Chamber, Salah Al-Jabr, revealed a serious move to electronically link between insurance companies and the Traffic Department to obtain full information for insurance applicants.
Al-Jabr said that all steps related to the electronic link between the Traffic Department and insurance companies are expected to be completed by the end of 2015, according to Okaz newspaper.
He explained that the number of traffic accidents for each customer will determine the price of the policy, indicating that the customer who has a clean record gets a different price than the owner of a record full of traffic accidents.
He said that some insurance companies have completed the process of electronic linking with “Najm” company, which gives each party access to data related to each customer, indicating that other insurance companies are on their way to link with “Najm” during the coming period.
