Forty factories for the production of low-quality car oils were detected

The oil file official at the National Commercial Committee, Shanan Al-Zahrani, warned that most of the car oil refining factories spread across the Kingdom use primitive techniques to produce bad oils, as he confirmed the existence of about 40 car oil refining factories, based on violating expatriate labor and accepted by customers looking for the lowest price. Pointing out that the number of factories that use high technologies does not exceed ten.

Shannan explained in a statement to “Al Sharq” newspaper that “the 40 factories lack modern equipment and correct methods of refining, and thus produce oils of poor quality, unsuitable for use, and cause great damage to car engines,” adding that “the high prices of new car oils made some Consumers replace them with re-refined oils, due to their low price, which is half the price of good brands,” noting that “the terrible rise in the prices of car oils has a major role in the spread of these factories, which lack technical standards when re-refining oils, in addition to the large number of consumers of these oils, commensurate with their financial capabilities.

Al-Zahrani pointed out that “the poor factories are mostly run by workers who violate the work and residence system,” explaining at the same time that “ten factories are the ones that adopt high technical standards in refining car oils.”

In this regard, the same spokesman confirmed that his committee will submit the file to the responsible authorities to consider this issue to put an end to these serious abuses.
