The lawyer of the Egyptian artist, Adel Imam (83 years old), filed a judicial appeal against the Egyptian Minister of Finance, to stop the decision of the Appeal Committee of the Tax Office to impose taxes of 6.4 million Egyptian pounds (207 thousand dollars).

Lawyer Khaled Al-Ashouh stated, according to local media, that taxes were imposed on 3 series, namely: “Adly Allam’s Goblins”, “Hidden Worlds” and “Valentino”, which were filmed inside the free zone in the Media Production City, and therefore are not subject to value-added tax. .

The lawyer stated that the subject of the vessel to the tax came exclusively with these works, at a time when the tax office did not provide a single evidence that these works are subject to the tax, but rather subjected them to a violation of the law.
