The discovery of a WWII submarine wreck in Greece

A Greek diving team recently found the wreckage of a British submarine that mysteriously went missing during World War II, during one of its military missions in the Aegean Sea off Greece.

Diver Kostas Thuctaridis’ team discovered the wreck of the submarine HMS Triumph at a depth of 203 meters in the Aegean Sea, which completely disappeared in 1942 during World War II.

The team began the search for the missing submarine in 1998, which is 84 meters high. Since its launch in 1938, it has carried out 20 missions, including attacks on Axis ships, the landing of British commandos and the rescue of Allied soldiers.
