Alzheimer’s drug gets US approval after promising results

An Alzheimer’s drug, called “Liquimbe,” (Friday) won unanimous endorsement from health advisors in the United States.

The drug received “conditional approval” from the US Food and Drug Administration last January.

The drug, which the Food and Drug Administration is expected to issue a final decision on by July 6, helped remove brain plaques that are a hallmark of Alzheimer’s disease in early patients.
