Tons of fish killed off the Gulf of Texas

Quintana Beach, located along the coasts of the Gulf of Texas, witnessed the floating of tons of dead fish due to the decrease in the percentage of dissolved oxygen in the water due to the high temperatures.

Environmental authorities in the state of Texas, according to the American “axios” website, rushed to clean the beach from this huge amount of dead fish, after the incident reported by the communication sites, where the water temperature reached 92 degrees Fahrenheit.

Environmental scientists attributed the incident to the suffocation of fish due to lack of oxygen, especially with the sudden rise in temperature in the Gulf waters due to climate changes in the region.
