Consultant warns smokers against taking birth control pills
Consultant cardiologist and catheter, Dr. Khaled Al-Nimr, warned smokers over the age of 35 to refrain from using birth control pills.
Al-Nimr explained that the danger lies in the fact that birth control pills raise triglycerides and cholesterol, raise blood pressure and increase blood clotting.
These smokers recommended the importance of using other safer methods of contraception by discussing such issues with their specialist physicians.
