The Broward County Court in the US state of Florida considered a case filed by the parents of a 4-year-old girl against the McDonald’s chain of restaurants, following the appearance of skin deformities in the child after she ate a piece of chicken from the restaurant.
The girl’s parents demanded $15,000 in compensation from the famous chain of restaurants, in exchange for the deformities that occurred in the fingers and thighs of the child due to the hotness of the chicken piece, as they described the meal as defective, harmful, and unfit due to its extreme heat.
The representative of the child’s family brought before the court during the pleading a meal from the restaurant and presented it to the judge, claiming compensation, but the representative of “McDonald’s” stressed that the piece stuck between the seat belt and the child’s body was the reason that led to the burning and not the high temperature of the piece of chicken.
