Twitter will add audio and video calls soon

The American billionaire, head of the Twitter platform, Elon Musk, announced that it will soon be possible to make voice and video calls from the platform.

Musk said, on his Twitter account, that this upcoming new step will allow people to talk to others anywhere in the world without giving them their phone number.

With the launch of the new service announced by Musk, Twitter will provide a tool similar to the one currently available on Instagram and Facebook in particular.

In the same vein, the billionaire, who bought the platform for $44 billion at the end of last October, intends to make it possible to encrypt private messages.

Since assuming the presidency of Twitter, Musk has made a series of changes, adding new features to the service, and this has grown since he announced last November his intention to turn the platform into a “multipurpose” application that allows, among other things, encrypted messages, long tweets and means of payment.
