The use of sesame oil is widespread in the kitchens of the Far Eastern countries due to its multiple benefits in the food field. But its goodness also extends to the cosmetic field thanks to its nourishing and antioxidant properties. Learn about the most important of them below:

Sesame oil, used in food preparation, is extracted from roasted sesame seeds. It is distinguished by its distinct aroma and golden color, in addition to its richness in beneficial fatty acids. However, this oil is not usable in the cosmetic field, as sesame oil, which is included in the composition of cosmetic preparations and mixtures, is cold pressed without roasting the granules to take advantage of its multiple natural properties.

Skin protecting oil:

Sesame oil is characterized by its softening and regenerating properties thanks to its richness in vitamins A and E, therefore it plays an important role in preserving the skin and preventing premature aging. Sesame oil also contains copper, calcium, magnesium, zinc and phosphorus.

The richness of sesame oil in essential fatty acids contributes to maintaining the quality of the skin, as its thin formula penetrates quickly into the depth of the skin, which helps to nourish it in depth.

When applied to the face, this oil leaves a protective film on the skin that maintains its moisture level. It has antioxidant properties thanks to its richness in vitamin E, lecithin, and cisamol, which makes it ideal for aging skin. To activate its anti-wrinkle properties, it is recommended to mix it with Damascene rose oil.

Solutions for skin and hair problems:

Sesame oil is used on sensitive skin and is more beneficial than some creams used in this field, as it calms redness and sensitivity. It is also suitable for the care of flabby skin and for the treatment of skin rashes, as it detoxifies the skin and speeds up the tissue repair mechanism.

Sesame oil contributes to accelerating the healing of pimples and treats cracks, and therefore it is useful in treating acne and skin problems associated with pregnancy.

Sesame oil is also used as a remedy for dandruff. In this case, it is recommended to massage the scalp with it on a daily basis to soothe itching and irritations. It is useful for promoting hair growth and strengthening.
