Death passed away today (Friday) the great Kuwaiti artist, Abdul Karim Abdul Qadir, at the age of 81, after a long struggle with illness.
Al-Abdul-Qader is considered one of the pioneers of Gulf art, as he began his artistic career in 1963 AD and released dozens of lyrical albums, while he collaborated with a number of prominent poets, including Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Prince Fahd bin Khaled, and Prince Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Faisal.
The late won many awards, including the Bronze Roller Award for the third best song, which is the song “Jamr Al-Wada’” at the Cairo Music Festival in the nineties of the last century, and the award for the best song for the song “Shakhbarak” at the Cairo Music Festival in 1998.
