Experts warn: Kissing babies may transmit deadly viruses to them

Experts have warned of the dangers of kissing newborns, which could transmit diseases and a number of deadly viruses to them, especially those that appear in the winter season. So it is advised to avoid kissing them as much as possible at this stage, and you should not be ashamed of preventing others from kissing your child as well to protect him.

According to “The Health Site” magazine, one of the most dangerous viruses that may be transmitted to infants through kissing is the respiratory syncytial virus RSV, which is the main cause of bronchiolitis in newborns, which may lead to pneumonia, which is the biggest killer for infants.

The herpes simplex virus, which causes infectious sores, can also be transmitted, often around the mouth or on the genitals. Kissing is one of the easiest ways to transmit herpes to infants, especially if the sores are open.

According to the British National Health Service, infants show certain symptoms when infected with the herpes virus, including being quiet in movement, refusing to feed, becoming excessively jerky and unsteady, having a fever, crying out loud, having difficulty breathing and starting Snoring, breathing rapidly, tongue and skin turning blue, or having a rash.

Experts revealed that nearly a third of infants suffering from this type of herpes may die even after being treated.
