An American girl, through her Facebook account, asked her friends and relatives to deposit $ 75 into her account, so that they could attend her soon-to-be wedding.
The girl, who works as a flower seller, also demanded cash donations from the invitees to cover the full honeymoon expenses, including the hotel expenses in which she will stay with her groom, according to the British Daily Mail.
The woman’s requests received angry reactions from the invitees, who expressed their rejection of this method of dealing and described the requests as evidence of the bride’s greed.
Commenting on the post, one of the invitees said sarcastically: “I prefer to congratulate the bride on her wedding by commenting on Facebook, as this will not cost me any money.”
Another guest said, “If you can’t afford the wedding expenses, or your family doesn’t support you in this regard, there is no reason to have an expensive ceremony.”
While a number of the invitees expressed their sympathy for the bride, and said that depositing such a small amount in her account would not affect them much.
