You have rented a car or are driving your new car for the first time and need to refuel, and after entering the station you are wondering.. which side is the gas tank on?
Often the driver has to stick his head out the window to locate the tank or ask the station attendant, perhaps standing in the wrong position and relying on the length of the pump hose.
It’s a situation many drivers fall into and a moment’s look at the dashboard provides the answer.
On the plate, next to the petrol pump mark, there is an arrow indicating which side the fuel tank hole is located on.
Some types of cars write the phrase “fuel hole” next to the fuel pump mark inside the dashboard.
At other times, there is no arrow next to the petrol pump mark, and here the pump hose is an indication of the location of the fuel tank.
