The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has launched a new number plate code starting with the “W” code, giving car owners the advantage of choosing their favorite plate numbers from 5 digits.
This unique service will allow the freedom to choose the vehicle’s plate number, for a fee of 1,670 dirhams ($457).
The list of available numbers will extend over the past 50 years, from 1967 to 2018, to provide car owners with the opportunity to choose a number that matches the date of birth, year of graduation, or any occasion they prefer within those years.
RTA said that it has launched a new phase of the “Your Distinguished Moments on Your Plate” initiative for code W, which gives customers the opportunity to choose favorite numbers within this code.
Dubai always remains a pioneer in innovative initiatives related to license plate numbers, including the huge auctions that are held annually for distinctive numbers with millions of numbers.
There is also talk about colored digital plates that provide location service and emergency assistance features, in addition to many other initiatives that the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai reveals successively.
