The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, has announced the final proceeds of the auction No. (98) of distinguished vehicle plate numbers, which amounted to 19 million dirhams, in addition to 5% value added tax.
The authority stated that the two numbers (W22) and (T32) achieved the highest value in the auction, after the price of the first reached two million and 620 thousand dirhams, while the value of the second number amounted to one million and 680 thousand dirhams.
She pointed out that the auction that was held yesterday, Saturday, witnessed the sale of the largest number of distinguished numbers, which included two, three, four and five digits, which amounted to 80 numbers with a financial value that ranged between 250 and 300 thousand dirhams, with the exception of some numbers whose value exceeded half a million dirhams, such as the number R66666, whose value amounted to 670 thousand dirhams, while the number T400 was sold for half a million dirhams.
