More than 450 Saudi girls attended a driving and car maintenance course in 4 cities

More than 450 Saudi girls attended a driving and car maintenance course in 4 cities

457 Saudi girls attended training courses introducing driving and car maintenance, which are being held by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, at the International Technical Colleges in Riyadh, Jeddah, Al-Ahsa, and Al-Khobar.

The courses, which come within the third phase of the community training program “Itqen”, are offered by trainers from America, Canada, Britain and South Africa, and last for 4 weeks, after which the trainees are granted certificates approved by the Vocational Training Corporation.

The trainees receive lectures on the meanings of traffic signs and road signs, and the indications of car lights such as running out of fuel, the oil change signal, tire failure, etc., as well as lectures on the principles of emergency breakdown maintenance and tire change.

More than 22,000 people, including 6,800 women, have applied for the “Itqen” program for 11 qualifying courses, including maintenance of computers and technical support, principles of maintenance of electronic devices, driving and maintenance of cars.
