Recalling 10,000 Hyundai cars of 2004 and 2009…and the Ministry of Commerce explains the reason for the delay in the announcement
The Ministry of Commerce and Investment announced the recall of 10,763 Hyundai vehicles (Sonata and Azera) of 2004-2009, due to a defect in the anti-lock brake system, explaining the reason for the delay in the recall.
The ministry said in a statement today (Thursday) that the defect in the brake anti-lock leads to an electrical short circuit in the engine compartment, which increases the possibility of a fire, calling for communication with the agents (Al-Waalan, Al-Majdouie, Al-Naghi) to carry out the necessary repairs for free.
In response to the criticism leveled at the ministry over the recall of cars that were produced 9 and 14 years ago and accusing them of poor control, the ministry confirmed that the recall is issued by the manufacturing company according to internationally approved standards.
